Welcome to the Toowoomba Weightlifting Association

The Toowoomba Weightlifting Association is proud to have celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the club in 2007. The club originated from humble beginnings in the basement of a Take-Away Chicken Shop in downtown Toowoomba to being one of the breeding grounds for many of Queensland's champion weightlifters.

The TWA provides quality coaching for beginners to elite athletes, for men and women aged in their teen years through to the Masters categories. For a small country club the TWA continues to produce Queensland and Australian representatives across the board, from lifters that compete in the Under 15 age category all the way through to the Masters.

We are located at the Toowoomba State High School - Mount Lofty Campus on in the Old Gym Hall on the western side of Stuart Street. When all else fails, follow the sound of weights being dropped.
